RBI keeps repo rate unchanged at 6. 5%

RBI in its fourth Bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement, 2018-19 has kept the repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) unchanged at 6.5%. Consequently, the reverse repo rate under the LAF remains at 6.25 per cent, and the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate at 6.75 per cent.

CBIC releases FAQs on TCS under GST

The CBIC has released the 29 FAQs on TCS under GST. In one of FAQ, the CBIC has clarified that the E-commerce operator has to obtain separate registration for TCS irrespective of fact whether e-commerce operator is already registered under GST as a supplier or otherwise and as GSTIN.

CBDT notifies ‘Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme’ for the purpose of Sec. 80D relief

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has notified the ‘Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme’ of the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, for the purpose of Sec. 80D deduction. The deduction is available for the assessment year 2019-20 and subsequent assessment years.
